Nutritionaly it will give you around 36 grammes of protein and that is fine. I would, from personal experience of an egg heavy diet, have a small bowl of bran based cereal with the eggs, to prevent certain 'difficulties' later in the day

I think it depends on your training programme. I am led to believe that it is the yolk of the egg which contains most of the cholesterol but it is also the yolk which contains most of the nutrients. Cord is right about the protein and eggs are a good source particularly for veggies, but too many eggs can increase your bad cholesterol levels.

Is there any particular reason why you're eating 6 egg whites a day?

The link between eggs and the increase in LDL cholestorol has been disproved now. The correlation was more down to the frying process of traditional cooked breakfast. Egg whites will in no way increase your cholestorol.Fact.

I totally agree that egg whites don't effect your LDL cholesterol levels. I did say that egg YOLKs contribute to LDL cholesterol, maybe you mis-read. If you still mean egg yolks, can you let me know where you found the relevant information? Thanks.

Dumbells question was related specificaly to the ingestion of egg white, he has already made the decision to discard the yolk. Your final statement (quoted above) could have caused him confusion, so i was just stating the facts as they stand. Incidentaly, the current research is leaning towards genetic predisposition being responsible for elevated cholestorol levels not dietary considerations (eggs included).

Well, I'm 19 years old, about 5' 8" and about 143 lbs. I don't eat much at all...I eat like only one big meal a day at about 5:00 pm. I was only eating those eggs as an extra source of nutrition/protein as they are easy to make and don't really take a long time. I really need to eat a lot more than I am currently eating.

Eat more of a better balanced diet. Egg whites don't have that much nutrition.
