You Train you, Pick one Technique and Master it, then you can master anything. train what techniques you have do them as poomse, kata forms, do them in the air. Repetition is key to create instinctive action.

I know that feeling well. Like eyrie said, you can find aiki everywhere. Walk in tsugiashi. Irimi, tenkan and tenkai around trees. Practice your timing entering on trees doing atemi with your palms at the instant your foot lands. Practice your swordhand. Ikkyo low branches and retain them with a good grip. Work on your posture as you walk, concentrating on being upright and balanced perfectly and using your hips properly. Practice moving your body as a unit rather than moving just your arms. Practice zanshin, maintaining focus on your "enemy" (beware of that tree, it might fight back!) even after applying the technique.

Anything that helps your timing and sensitivity to your surroundings and the intent of others is very helpful. Doing hundreds of reps of the basics every day will fill a lot of spare time and will make your technique much better.

You might also enjoy working with a bokken, if you've got someone to show you how. Aikido is designed with swordhand for a reason, and the bokken helps you get the idea of the body movements. I got one when I was out with an injury and couldn't take ukemi, and it's been very helpful.

I was just re-reading Kisshomaru Ueshiba's The Art of Aikido. The first two basic preparatory techniques he lists are good ones to do solo, many times:

Ki no henka - basic body turn. Pivot on your front foot one side then the other, assuming your good stance in the new orientation. Don't allow any slack in your hands & feet as you turn, and keep your posture stable and unbroken.

Kyoku no Tenkan Ho - basic preparatory technique of shihonage, moving in a circular motion with the arms (in swordhand) rising and falling with a breath-power motion.

I'd forgotten about the second one and will now proceed to add it to my routine. Both of these are easy to do in a small area, so you can practice inside when you're not outside banging into trees.

In Tomiki-ryu aikido, we do an exercise called tagetana-no-kata, or "The Walking Kata" or "The Walk Exercise" or just plain old "The Walk."

It is a series of basic movements that are included within the entire specturm of good aikido technique, as defined by Tomiki Sensei, who was a direct student of O-sensei, and Master Kano of Kodokan Judo as well. The walk exercise is a by yourself thing that we ... are, uh.... supposed to do twice a day. Sometimes I forget and try to make it up later, which doesn't work as well. Basically, it's kata practice, just like in karate or TKD class. By yourself repetition of movement, used in techniques, to train muscle memory. So, we do that. I don't know what you could do.
