Anyone read the recent Uechi article in the reading room? Any other Uechi practitioners here?

KDH,

Not a practioner. But did read the article and I have met the son of Gushisan a couple of times. The father is a 9th Dan "Pangainoon" Uechi-ryu instructor from Okinawa. His son is out here in Southern California.

However, all I did was talk to him a few times over dinner. I know...not much help.

Hey that's actually pretty cool.

I am a "lapsed" practitioner myself but the bulk of my sparring is still done in my old Uechi ryu dojo.

Thanks again.

I am a Uechi student. The article seems to mirror and conflict with other information I have read.
