I see that 2 of our frequent posters here have been cited or had their works used in the new book by author Alex Gillis. He is a TKD student for some 25 years, studying both ITF & WTF types. The book is named the Killing Art, the untold history of TKD. I can't wait for my copy to arrive. He verifies many of the stories that some dismiss & he uses at least 2 sources to back up his claims. I know this section is not for books, but thought the members here would like to know that about their fellow members,
Wow I am such a scaterbrain! Sorry I had a family member on the phone & they sensed I was not paying full attention to them as I was typing away on the computer. It was actually Master Earl Weiss from the States (do you know him? ) & Mr. Stuart Anslow from the UK. Way to go guys!
Quote: Nice to know. But Alex missed the use of another knowledgable TKD poster from this forum. Someone that many here consider a 'walking encyclopedia'.
Thanks but I don't think it would carry too much weight referencing a no name poster on an interent forum. He apparently used articles that these 2 noted posters have written & that have been published in written periodicals/magazines.
Quote: What types of stories do you mean? Where can you buy a copy? -TKD_X
I'll give you more info when I get my copy delivered. It is hopefully on the way to me. In the meantime go to this link: http://www.ecwpress.com/books/art_killing_untold_history_tae_kwon_do I am sure if you google the title & author, Alex Gillis, ads will come up that can direct you to places where you can purchase the book. Good luck & good reading! I would be very interested in hearing what others think about this important work. Remember he appears to be an independent TKD student of some 25 years, that does both ITF & WTF, but is not a card carrying member of either organization.

Well, then you and everyone else can order your copy through the link posted on Stuart's signature line.
Isn't there some kind of rule against advertising?
Noone ever wants to contact the forum owner to advertise, so they just do it in their signature. Free advertising. Now, we have advertisements all over the webpage because members who take advantage of the forum don't want to pay to advertise. HMMMMmmmmm......'the martial way'?
