Does anyone know anything about Hoi Joen Moo Sool. I started taking a class a year ago that was advertised as being Aikido, but once I got into it I was then told that it was officially a Hoi Joen Moo Sool dojo. Having some experience in Aikido I can say that there are some similarities but I am finding differences also. I haven't been able to find much on the history, philosophy, etc of the art. Any help?? - Thanks!

Steve,
Just did a google and got some weird information here. History sounds suspect, but don't know if they are good, bad or ugly. My suspicion is that it's probably an off shoot of Hapkido.
In any case, here's a link that I read through for some descriptions. I had to laugh, since the writer or the translation software doesn't use good English...the high level instruction came from an "anus."

Man, I really need to work on my luxacoines.
Pretty hard to tell anything about the style from that site. But it had me laughing pretty hard with all the garbling.

Thanks for the link. It's nice to know that sometimes when you think you're confused just take heart...it can always get worse! I needed the laugh today.
