Hm, "ki balls" aren`t really fake (I know I probably shouldn`t say that...). But as far as I understand this, the guys that create psi balls believe that they are different from ki balls. And I AM certain that the "ki ball" was first (not in the DBZ way of course).
Probably this will topic will be locked. I doubt anyone involved with energy arts is interested in where the radki ki ball originated.
