I took a look through the FAQ, and didn't find anything in the rules against it. So, I'm keeping it.

Belnick,

Where did you get that quote from? I don't see it anywhere in this thread, and no one has told me my sig is offensive.

Like I said, if a moderator wants me to change it, no problem.

Your signature is fine. It is an attitude/ advice/ wisdom that comes from a particular source that many regard as scripture. It could just as easily have come from a wise poet or secular philosopher. In itself, it is not "religion".

originally, the quote was credited. The credit has now been taken off. If this is the only difference between offensive and non-offensive, then we are paying too much attention to the politics and not enough to the wisdom of the words. -For this reason, I think it was a good idea to take the credit off.
A concept like forgiveness is universal.
If I credited where this came from, some might be furious...so I give you the words only:
"And when a man injures and oppresses you and deals unjustly with you, you should deal kindly with him and forgive him. This you will strike at the root of hatred and enmity and he who is your enemy will become your friend."

I dont think anyone should/would be furious at the origins of that quote.

well it doe snot matter if it is or not

mr V said it broke the rules about
Quote:

'religion' prohibition

so it does not matter if it said "#%!#% 3415 34%#!"% [censored] !"#" or "feel like a cow and give milk to the world" or what ever, so if it is chistianity, buddhism, hinduism, islam, satanism etc... etc...

donno about made up later religions like Jedi(lol) and sith

Belnick,

I feel you are being deliberately difficult. Your signature was very offensive to many and you know it. I am sure you chose it purely to be controversial.

Mr V responded to the complaints he received and asked you to change it. You did, (thank you for that) and now it's over. Let it go.

lol nope, the rules are all religions and not just to support the religions of the majority

satanism, christianity, the same thing, just another side of the coin!

same for all or no rules of that kind at all

So if 'karate is life', can MA be a religion?
That would mean...no signatures allowed at all!!
