ive aske dmy doctor, and my parents and everyone about this. but no one in this plac gives me a straight answer on anything. so i wanted to go to someone who would actually TELL ME. my doctor jus basicly said "if it tastes good spit it out" his own words. so the question is, what kind of things should someone overweight (around 260, not alot of muscle) eat and drink to just plain and simply lose this weight. like../special effective diets that have worked for you (admit it...telling someone just not to eat anything that tastes good....isnt proper dieting advice when youve asked them what would help.)

One advice if you drink any kind of soft drink DONT just drink only water and in just one month you will see results.
Talk is cheap take it to the pit.

diet drinks are good too. are u doing any exercize? the idea is to increase enrgy bring used and then keep the same amount or less food coming in.

start out by WALKNG 1 mile. do it for acupla weeks then run just a little. do that for acupla weeks. eat the same or a little less, ul lose weght.

as u get in shape u will want to work out more. dont get ina hurry, it takes time.

Anything that tastes good is bad for you, i`ve heard that one too.
I also heard that your stomach shrinks in 16 days of less eating. So if that so then you have to hold on for 16 days of feeling hunger after eating lesser meals and then it`s easier to eat less.You aren`t hungry anymore.

Any thoughts about this?

Stay away from simple sugars. That will definately help, the only carbs you should be getting is from fruit (not fruit juices), whole wheat/grain breads, brown rice, whole oats (oatmeal in the big cylinder) and potatoes. Any white bread or crap like that should be gone. Especially stay away from those cookies, cakes, and all that crap. Just try to only eat that stuff on special occasions. Breakfast is also a very important factor of losing weight. I'm not trying to generalize or anything this statement is based on pure speculation, but a lot of overweight people I know don't eat anything for breakfast and it blows my mind. Not only will breakfast help boost your metabolism but it also gives you energy for the rest of the day. Lastly, try eating more smaller meals every day like 5 or 6 small meals a day instead of 2 or 3 huge meals. Hope this helps.

When you eat irregular your body stores fat for the time when you skip a meal. When you eat regular your body doesn`t have the need to store the food because it always gets it when needed. Have regular and healthy meals.
(my grandpa has over 130kg, 160-170cm -he doesn`t eat breakfast)

Oh, and one important thing i forgot. Impulse from your stomach to brain (that tells the brain that you ate enough) travels 20 minutes. So eat slowely for 20minutes .

Definately cut down on the simple sugar, if not completly eliminate it from the diet.

Eat more fruits and vegetables.

Cut back on red meat and pork. Instead eat broiled/baked chicken and fish.

Drink plenty of water throughout the day.

Also green tea as well as orange juice is good to drink.

Use wheat bread instead of white.

Use mustard instead of mayo. Or at least use the low fat stuff.

I've heard about the 20 minute delay as well....

Two things help me, and thats drink a glass of ice cold water before the meal.
That will fill you up a little bit and perhaps shrink your stomach temporarily (so i've heard).

The second is chew your few a lot. Not only will that aid in the digestion process, it will allow the brain to "catch up" to the stomach.

If you go for fast food, try to pick something healthy from the menu, like salads.

If you go for a burger, get it without cheese or extra meat.
I'd rather be tried by twelve than carried by six any day!
