Oldman (and I'm not taking this personally) but what's the deal. You didn't repost my picture with the rest.

To whoever said it, yes, I was the guy in the wrestling getup. If only I'd gotten to stick with it another year or two, I might have actually figured out the sprawl. No snide remarks, it was all in my timing of it.

The funny thing is, that picture is 10 years old, but I don't look any different at all.

LOL!! The similarity is striking, but I dont go for piercings. Had a nipple piercing ripped out once and it kind of put me off them from there on. My mum says I was a beautiful baby, and wonders what went wrong!!

Bushi,
Sorry about that. It was a complete mistake on my part.
To be honest I was so worn out after the Hoodat I couldn't find my A$$ with both hands. Once again I apologize.

Oldman, don't worry about it. I completely understand you being tired after Hoodat. That had to be alot of work on your part.

Thank you for doing that. It was alot of fun, and cool to see some of the people here. Hopefully you can come up with a new version sometime in the future.

Bushi,
There is a new game in the works. Once again it will be a bit different. It will be just as challenging.

Looking forward to it, Oldman.

I've got some ideas for a game but I would have to wait if there is a "General Talk" open. It's not really MA related.

A 10 hours time-zone difference makes it difficult for me. However, it was real fun. This game seems to favour the gainfully unemployed.

I've always had a mental 'picture' of all the regulars and some fit quite nicely.

My real disappointment is not seeing a picture of Reiki's horse. Yeah, we know, you couldn't come to an equine agreement with the filly on royalty fees for using the picture on the net. Difficult to get organic hay?

ROFL @ butterflypalm

yes I'm sorry I didnt get organised with a photo, but multiple attacks on my network by hackers and a plethora of virus problems by some idiot men who opened dodgy email messages meant that I was putting out fires and tearing my hair out simultaneously for a few days....!

Actually the filly was sold a while back and is now living in Australia. I still have all the others though, plus planning some more.

*All* our hay is organic!

strong attraction to ethanol - C2H6O

never tried that variety... In school, I was partial to C2H5OH.

Sounds to me like we're speaking about the same thing... We both have 2 C(arbon) and 1 O(xygen). I have 6 H(ydrogen), while you have 5+1 (which is still 6, for those who haven't studied for as long as Kintama and myself ). I'll try to draw the molecule, at least the way I imagine it must look like (ignore the dots, I've put them just because the software won't display more than one consecutive space. I hope it will work all right):

...H.....H...
...|.....|....
H-C-O-C-H
...|.....|....
...H.....H...

Is that what you're talking about?

I wasn't aware it is correct to split the total amount of a certain atom in a molecule's formula, thus ending with twice the same letter in the said formula. But it so happens that I untimely left the scientific section in college (even though I was absolutely loving what I was being taught) to attend the litterary section instead, so I'm very far from being an authority in that matter...

Concerning the second part of my post, as much as I am ashamed of my cruelty, I must confess you were right : I cat-juggle with indeed . But I see a therapist regularly, so please give me a chance to change and don't turn me in: I don't live in the US anyway, so you can't do anything against me.

Seriously, a relative of mine, who happens to be a vet, told me that some fairly common symptoms on cats brought to her are a broken nose plus a broken tail. Because it seems there's quite a few people around who enjoy grabbing a cat by the tail and tossing it against a wall. Really.

PS: About alcohol, now that I come to think about it your formula seems to suggest that one of its hydrogen atoms would be somehow distinctly separated from the other five. Could what you're referring to look like this?

...H..H......
...|..|.......
H-C-C-O-H
...|..|.......
...H..H......

If it exists, (it probably does) I don't know its name (maybe just another version of ethanol) but it looks nice and refreshing indeed!

your second diagram is correct.
cocktail:
2 parts Carbon
5 parts Hyrogen
1 part Hydroxyl/Hydroxide

It is split out since it is a polyatomic ion.

if you were to make C2H6O, you'd be sniffing some kind of ether.
(disclaimer: I only remembered enough about this stuff to be able to look it up)

- If only learning MA was this easy.

Thanks for your precisions! Sad to hear that I was in error for all these years... The reason why I didn't know what an alcohol molecule looks like is that I've never drunk one on its own. I always have several of them at the same time, (a bit like peanuts. Bad habit) so they tend to be in a bit of a mess and I have a job seeing them clearly (especially if I've had some more previously in the night).

Actually, in spite of the appearances, this conversation belongs just here: the point of this "hoodat" was partly to allow us to know the face of acointances we've known for some time without knowing what they looked like. You've done just that: alcohol has been my best friend for a long time, but now, thanks to you, I also now its true aspect!
