Oldman, don't worry about it. I completely understand you being tired after Hoodat. That had to be alot of work on your part.
Thank you for doing that. It was alot of fun, and cool to see some of the people here. Hopefully you can come up with a new version sometime in the future.

I wasn't aware it is correct to split the total amount of a certain atom in a molecule's formula, thus ending with twice the same letter in the said formula. But it so happens that I untimely left the scientific section in college (even though I was absolutely loving what I was being taught) to attend the litterary section instead, so I'm very far from being an authority in that matter...
Concerning the second part of my post, as much as I am ashamed of my cruelty, I must confess you were right  : I cat-juggle with indeed  . But I see a therapist regularly, so please give me a chance to change and don't turn me in: I don't live in the US anyway, so you can't do anything against me.
Seriously, a relative of mine, who happens to be a vet, told me that some fairly common symptoms on cats brought to her are a broken nose plus a broken tail. Because it seems there's quite a few people around who enjoy grabbing a cat by the tail and tossing it against a wall. Really.
PS: About alcohol, now that I come to think about it your formula seems to suggest that one of its hydrogen atoms would be somehow distinctly separated from the other five. Could what you're referring to look like this?

If it exists, (it probably does) I don't know its name (maybe just another version of ethanol) but it looks nice and refreshing indeed!

your second diagram is correct. cocktail: 2 parts Carbon 5 parts Hyrogen 1 part Hydroxyl/Hydroxide It is split out since it is a polyatomic ion. if you were to make C2H6O, you'd be sniffing some kind of ether. (disclaimer: I only remembered enough about this stuff to be able to look it up) - If only learning MA was this easy.

Thanks for your precisions! Sad to hear that I was in error for all these years...  The reason why I didn't know what an alcohol molecule looks like is that I've never drunk one on its own. I always have several of them at the same time, (a bit like peanuts. Bad habit) so they tend to be in a bit of a mess and I have a job seeing them clearly (especially if I've had some more previously in the night). Actually, in spite of the appearances, this conversation belongs just here: the point of this "hoodat" was partly to allow us to know the face of acointances we've known for some time without knowing what they looked like. You've done just that: alcohol has been my best friend for a long time, but now, thanks to you, I also now its true aspect!
