It is written by Wong Shun Leung himself, describing his close friendship with Bruce Lee. The idea is to twirl them in different motions to strengthen the forearm. Larry Hartsell shows how to use them in his book on grappling and conditoning _________________________ Sticks n stones'll break my bones, but if I land the first one, you're in trouble!

monji112000 Member Registered: 12/05/04 Posts: 177	This is prob what Leung is talking about. JMO I have heard of WC fighters using heavy metal pole to add resistance to punching. Holding them up, and slowly making the motion of punch. I don't think this is 100% effective,since it will pull you down rather than horizontal resistance.

someotherguy Member Registered: 04/20/05 Posts: 69	maybe lie on your back! I thought it was quite interesting to see the kind of attitude Lee had, seemed pretty troubled in many ways. Some interesting comments on how he might have been getting habituated to less effective techniques towards the end
