Basically this is a demo of me swinging the nunchucks.
I fancied it up a bit with some music. I used a Fuji s3000 digital camera to record this so it is not of a supierior quality.
I am completly self taught with the chucks although I had personal instruction in JKD.

This video is NOT sped up or doctored in any manner. It is a 5mb Download.
I just would like some comments positive or negative. Except for comments about my footwork, I am currently working on that.

Wow! I havenīt practised any weapon arts but atleast in my opinion that was great. I have considered buying nunchucks and practising them on my own. How long have you pratised?
Did you start with real things or did you use softer materials at first?

Sorry if my english is bad.

Very nice. Thanks for sharing. I'm an avid Nunchaku user as well for the past 17 years.

What I would like to see you do more of is constant change in direction. Attack in one direction then abruptly change direction, to the side or behind in mist of swing, facing the direction you're attacking. Though I don't spend much time with spinning them around my wrist or other tricks, I spend more time charging foward in attack, abruptly stop and attack behind me then charge in that direction and doing the same to my right and left. Constant change in direction of attack, and work on able to abrutly go walk backwards swiftly to retreat and side stepping/angle stepping out of the way of their attack. Keep changing direction, keep moving your legs, go foward, backward, turn left/right, constantly swing in directions that you're open to attack. Like creating a dome shield all around you by consistantly swinging in every direction possible. You'll always be open, so swing for the effort of closing all openings all at the sametime.

Have a friend armor up in sparring pads/protection and have them constantly charge at you aggressively and you use padded foam nunchakus and keep your distance with your legs, keep your legs moving constantly, stay out of their reach but just long enough for you to hit back. Your legs will be very important to help you keep your distance. Keep your knees bent.
