I sort of like John's answers, but:
1. favorite = sai 2. best at = bo / M16 rifle 3. wish I was better at = escrima & kama 4. wish to learn = tonfa 5. weapon of choice? bo. See "best at". Plus reach.

Damn. I forgot the weapons I'd REALLY like to learn, and that's the walking cane. Sneaky and very effective. Saw a hapkido master abusing two of his students with one in a demo and it was impressive.

1. Favorite Weapon(s): Katana and wakazashi, as wielded by my teacher. I could watch him for hours.
2. Best At: Ma Do (Horse Knife) Big and scary looking, but beautiful as well.
3. Wish I was better at: Bo. I am learning the American Kenpo Staff set, and as coordination isn't my strongest asset, it's tough.
4. Wish to learn: Katana. See #1.
5. Confrontation Weapon: Hopefully not needed, but either Bo or Escrima techniques could be done with something close at hand like a broom handle or stick of firewood.

1. What is your favorite weapon, regardless of your ability to use?
Probably an Anglo-Scottish basket-hilted broadsword (double-edged) or backsword (single-edged).
2. What weapon are you best at?
French foil, and FMA single stick (solo baston).
3. What weapon do you wish you were better at?
French epee.
4. What weapon do you wish to learn?
The sciabola di terreno, aka the "Radaellian" light dueling saber of the Italian school.
5. If in a confrontation, what is your weapon of choice?
I try to avoid confrontations, but I'd have to say that an ASP telescoping baton would be good, if it was legal to carry around here.
For home self-defense (besides firearms), I think some sort of short sword, equally lethal with both point and edge, would prove most useful--a Roman gladius (as Foolsgold mentioned), a Filipino bolo, etc.
In any case, it's largely a moot point, given the grave legal implications involved with all of the above.

favourite: definitly the dao
best at: probably shinai... bo comes close
wish to be better at: sectional weapons
wish to learn: cane
in a confrontation: ... any weapon held by me could quickly become held by my opponent... then im in **** ... but i'd go the cane... not many would attack an apparently disabled man with a cane.
Originally posted by coxne: Reiki, using a dog as a fail? I'd love to hear that story! =)
I did this while I was teaching dog obediance a few years back, I was working with someones dog that was decidedly "unco-operative" and it picked a fight with another dog nearby.
Having nothing else handy except the dog lead [which was already in my hands], I decided to swing it with the dog attached. The dog got a hell of a shock and stopped fighting immediately.
It was hard to get it going but once its feet were off the ground the centrifugal force helped.
The dog was very quiet after its flail and I found it a lot easier to work as I had proved my dominance over it.
We used to end up with all the dregs that ppl had bought and couldn't control. Large male shepherds and other breeds that were just dominating their owners.
