I've been trying to find a suitable thing to carry all my arsenal of weapons and other stuff, and have finally settled on getting a hockey bag. [IMG]http://www.fightingarts.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif[/IMG] At least I can carry it over one shoulder and not drop everything!!

It has a huge long pocket at the back which will take my 2 swords and at least 2 bokken plus my arnis sticks and a hanbo.

The front pockets are just the right size for tonfa, sai and nunchaku and my sparring gear and first aid kit. Plus it has another pocket for other small stuff like wallet and carkeys.

It won't fit the bo and jo but I can cope with that!

What does everyone else use?

the guys at my school use military issue duffle bags, it doesn't have any other pockets, but it will accomidate massive amounts of equipment ranging from mulan fans (folded of course) to bo staffs, spears, swords, chain whips, they can even put clothes in it no problem. the only thing is the longer weapons stick out of the top of the bags. http://www.perrets.com/st_prod.html?p_prodid=12&p_catid=4 is an example of it, I don't know what size it is.

Well done on getting this forum though. As for carrying weapons: There used to be a sensei here in the UK, Tomio Otani; (real samurai decent) he used to turn up with his katana attached to his side concealed under his trenchcoat!

I'd like to have seen some yobs try and mug him on the London Underground!

Thanks for the offer Lane, but I'm quite happy with my lovely new hockey bag apart from the fact that it doesn't take my bo. Its nice to be able to keep the gear in separate pockets so I can find it easily too. My chucks were always hiding in some obscure corner of my old bag.

I used a polythene ski case, it was extendable made of two parts where one slid inside of the other so it could be a variety of lengths and lockable this was useful when taking a variety of weapons abroad.

I can call a few of my friends and see what can be made for you. If you have an email, I can send you photos of bags made for me. I carry an arsenal. Bujin is run by Hiroshi Ikeda, there are others that can make custom bags also in my town locally. I've had a problem getting long bags made for 6' plus weapons. I will be researching more on the local upholster/seamstress people.
