It is a tool towards personal liberation in combative form, isn't it? I think it should be looked that way as well.
For example, discouraging competition doesn't mean that for JKD practitioner it is strictly forbidden to compete, it just is against Lee's original beliefs. If someone want to corporate JKD into competition, itīs okay. As long as person is expressing oneself honestly, not someone else or someone else's set of ideas. Blindly.
