That would be a great topic to folw up on... as a side note... if you dont mind that is... does anyone agree with me that there areto many fighters and not enough martial artists??? Everyone i ave met , seen, fought lately has ben in the arts for very short durrations and doesnt know how to use ki instead of repeitious technique and muscle straining arm punches... i hate to say it, but finding a true fellow artsman is hard to come by.

Yeah I know what you mean. So many people just focus on the violent side of martial arts. They degrade the true value of the arts which are betterment of oneself and to teach avoidance that is the martialartists weapon. Ki takes a while to learn and most people are skeptical of this. My belief is ki is you intention and all of your focus directed to one point in time. Martial art is best used as a mirror for self expression. I believe firmly in bruce Lees teachings on JKD he was on the right track.

Bruce was only searching for truth in combat thatís all. What is and isn't reality thatís all. The problem is, until you train for that you can't understand what he wrote.
This is why I would like to see this discussion because most people don't get it.

Organized dispair was also a term coined by Bruce refferring to forms and kata such as "classical mess".

What mcgee is saying is that, much of what Lee wrote can seem very cryptic at times and, that it's difficult to understand much of it unless you are training using athletic/alive methods. Then it all seems to make sense.

Organized dispair IS just a reference to dead training methods ("pretend" training).
