speed comes from fast0twitch muscles and there are ways to develop their speed - plyometrics (clap pushups), as well as doing low rep free weights (max weight u can handle). Of course you must practise the move, but that alone will not increase speed dramaticaly. Also, you must realize that each person's fast t. muscle has their limit, in other words genes. Some people are just born slower, but then you should concentrate on other aspects , because thats martial arts, not evryone can be as fast as Bruce Lee even if you train as hard as he did
