Razwell, I'am an AssKisser, and a fool. It seems to me to be the most sensible thing you have posted in days.

Razwell -
Have you just totally wigged out man? Look at what you're doing. Calm down a little if you don't want people thinking you're psycho.

Dr. Jerry Beasly has a PhD in physical education from VA Tech (Go Hokies). He is a professor at Radford Univ. where he runs a program where one can get a BS degree in Phys. Ed. with Martial Arts concentration. This was the first program of its kind in the country and may still be the only one. Since 1988 he has hosted one of the biggest seminars in the country. He is an expert at TKD/karate/kickboxing. He is an authority on JKD the way Bruce Lee founded it. He is in the Black Belt Mag Hall of Fame as well as other honors and recognitions. He is co-founder of AIKIA, the Association of Independent Karate Instructors of America. Also, he has published several books and video training series as well as written numerous articles for various publications. If I've missed anything, I appologize.

Just wanted to add I'm not kissing up to Dr. Beasley. I don't know him, never met him, and never trained with him. I know a lot about him because I've enjoyed his writing and his tape series. Also, I live near Radford and have many friends who have attended the big July seminars he holds. I believe he's done enough and seen enough to know what's what. By the way, who is MegaPower16v? Have you accomplished what this man has or even a portion? I'll tell you I know I have not and maybe that's why I admire the guy. He's done what I only wish I could do.

Dr. Beasley has been my instructor for almost 2 years now. I DO know him personally, and i encourage him to not reply on these forums. The greatest fighters in the martial arts world are happy to share magazine covers with him, share their home with him or vice versa, and he will never show you his greatest accolades, which are letters from his friends about his character and abilities. I sincerely hope this will be his last post regarding a subject which he published books on more than ten years ago, and i know for a fact, so does he.

RUkickboxer, I admire your loyalty to your instructor however I wish he would reply more on the forums as well as his friends and collegues. I don't know why some people have to act in a disrespectful manner when all we are trying to do is share information. Personally if I were Dr. Beasley I would communicate on the forums without divulging my identidy. His knowledge would come through just the same and dissention with his views would be aimed at a faceless screen name; but that's me. I like hearing his opinion, always have whether I agree or not. I know some opinionated people who don't care for him. I know some who like him. I know some who can't wait for July to head for the seminar at Radford. None of it really matters to me except what I like and I like his insight into the fighting arts. Pass this message on to him please.

SilvertigerTKD1, Thanks. You are exactly right. My mistake was to identify myself and let some take pot shots at a high profile martial artist. As soon as I have time to delete my old userName and register with a new one I'll be back to participate. You may eventually recognize me in 2005 as the user that only has good things to say about others . Until then I am not so wise that I can't learn from a student. Merry Christmas.
