Anyone know about any good books on shotokan, including basics, two-man drills and any kata. And just incase someone says go find a dojo and do some proper training, i do, four times a week, but still, for technical stuff and as a memory aid, books are good. No offence intended.
Cheers

Karatedo Kyohan is the definative text on karate, butr it is not modern Shotokan.

For modern technique Dynamic Karate by Nakayama is the single best book on performing karate technique.

For Kata the best Karate series by the same is the model on which the modern kata are based. Unfortunately these books do not teach much as far as applications, but for learning technique and sequences they are unbeatable.

PS. I'd recomend picking up Karatedo Kyohan and Karatedo Nyumon by Gichin Funakoshi anyway as they give much good advice about karate.
