My mother took a martial arts when she was younger and she says to me that she was taught to twist the arm you are punching with while you are punch to add power to the punch.
My friend that is taking Ninjitsu (sp?) says that the twist is un-needed to add power and that it can even have draw backs like being open to attack or such thing.
I've tried both and I think that I actually feel more power while twisting the punch, but I could be wrong.
Who is right?
