Hi, Hope everyone is well. I could bore you with my backround but I won't. My questions concern a more in lines with koryu bujutsu. I will continue to"explore the old to better understand the new" Your comments are much appreciated; Questions: Concerning older Ryu-ha.
I wonder if I will get any clear answers out their. I am just out to explore and learn.
Question 1. what is meant by "Sansu strategy" even better what about: Fighting Strategies of old?
a.Heiho/Hyoho strategy? b.Gunpo strategy? c.Ninpo strategy?
My current collection of books have fallen short in answering in more depth: My Book ref: HEIHO OKUGISHO-Yamamoto Kansuke/Obata Sensei HAGAKURE Book of five rings by overlook Book of five rings-Hanshi steve Kaufman Combat strategy JUNSADO - by Hanho Ninja granmaster-Stephen K. Hayes/Masaaki Hatsumi sensei. And of course: The Art of War - Sun Tzu
Anyhow does anyone know about the thing I am talking about? Please respond on subject matter only, as not to wasit your time.
Respectfully
Rickmeister

rrbraxton, I apologize in advance I'm not particulaly well versed in strategy. As far as I know, Heiho/Hyoho is the only one I'm familiar with. It can be traced to a small band of warriors that served a Princess. They could be heard chanting the words as they went out to battle " Heiho/Hyoho, Its off to war we go". Again I apologize.

LOL, oldman, you are too funny. I also liked your suggestion to bjjskn to broaden his moniker to reflect the 4 styles he has mastered. Or was it 4 levels of Resident Evil he's got to on his Xbox?

Rickmeister, I also apologize. No disrespect intended. Thanks for telling us a little more about yourself. First I would like to tha thank you for your military service to your country. Men and women have paid dearly for the freedoms I so easily take for granted. I view part of my role on the forum as occaisional comic relief. We tend to take ourselveles too seriously. You asked about strategy, humor, used strategictly can be like a glass of cold water. It's refreshing when you drink it, and awakening when poured on the sleeping. oldman

Coordinate yourself and then the world around you.
Lead by exmaple.
Train your body and mind to never flinch, to never hesitate.
The highest level of the fighter is not to have " no technique " or to defeat an enemy without fighting,
It is to strengthen the will beyond reason and to sharpen the imagination by seeking truth that does not exhist.
