On a vaguely related note, this is a thread on another forum. It's probably too graphic for all the big hairy squeamish blokes here who are scared of the sight of blood though!

(This forum moves fast by the way, so it probably won't be there too long)

I think you're absolutely right on this one. Missing training because you're "on" is totally lame.

I'm 34, and it'll be a cold day in hell before I miss a class for anything other than a real medical emergency. I can get a bit dippy the week before I come on, though, so I have to concentrate harder, but that's it, really.

Give 'em a tampon and an aspirin and tell 'em to get on with it!

Actually, the correct answer is: because men would not be able to cope with them

No sharon, if guys had them it'd a couple of paracetamol then off down the pub.

Seriously though my wife sometimes misses training at that time of the month. Not always but probably one month in two or thereabouts. I think it is listening to body and would never suggest she go when she feels lousy.

Some of the American Indians used to put the women that were menstuating in a tent outside the village until they were finished, some thought it was "taboo". There is an old abandoned building down the street from our village, I mean nieghborhood, I wonder if all the husbands should send thier wive there while they are having thier periods? Ken Harding,
I wouldn't want anyone to train when they really, truly aren't feeling well enough, it just bugs me when women use The Curse as an excuse!

Schanne,
Maybe the men would want to pack a few sandwiches and go there themselves!

Sharon - off topic but if you see this month's Traditional karate mag (yukky mag but i usually browse thru it in WHS ) you'll see Hironori Ohtsuka on front cover with belt all tucked in. You might want to send a copy to that chap you were talking about on t'other belt tying thread!
