#131499 - 03/18/05 02:35 AM recent fractured wrist

i broke my wrist like a year ago in wrestling class(it wasn't a serious one, just one at school in gym class)
i was wrestling this guy 8th grader when
i was still in 7th, n not to brag hehe but
it was like a sumo thing but i got him
out the ring but he pulled on to me n so i
try to support myself by extending my hand
n so it broke my wrist
i had the cast off for about probably 6-8 month but when i bend it, i still hear small cracking sounds
and it just isn't stopping. it doesn't hurt
but my wrist seems incredibly weak especially
when i try to arm wrestle. n i dont want to
go see a doctor but i was wondering
have any of u guys have experience with this
n is there some work outs to get my wrist
stronger?

First you really should see a doctor.

Nobody who can't see you, or know you is qualified to diagonse your condition.

If you have a condition which is contributing to your feeling weaker only a doctor is going to make any difference or help guide you to further conditioning.

If you have nothing physically wrong except the length of recovery, then check with an occupational therapist to discover which exercises will contribute to your recovery.

I've found when you've injured a part of your body it sometimes takes a very long time to return to your normal strength and ability. It depends on the injury.

I wish you strength and health,

I agree with Mr Smith, go and see a doctor.

In some cases when limbs are set in a cast, the muscle within that area does little to no work. When the cast is removed you can sometimes experience pain and this can sometimes be that your muscle has deteriorated slightly. As for the cracking, it doesn't sound good, but once again I'd emphasise on seeking medical advice from a doctor.
