Seriously, a lot of parents get their kids into martial arts at young ages. Whether that's good or not it's true. One percent? Maybe, but I doubt it.

Luck does play a part in combat. More correctly chance plays a part. One percent, more then 1% study the arts. Just because a style is old doesnt mean its effective, a criminal is more likely to try to pump you full of lead then fight you. May I ask how many of you prefer avoidance above all else and how many of you carry a defensive firearm on you. I've been in several bad places in my life, just because someone practices a martial art for 60 still does not mean they can defend theirselves to be honest you need street experiance to even begin to mold your art and one situation if chance dont play in your favor can end your life.
