Ken,

Thanks for reminding me of the name. Also, would you happen to know if "Enter the 36th Chamber" and "The 36th Chamber of Shaollin" are the same movie or different? And do you know the stars of the movie(s)?

Hi Anpadh:

I believe Robert Mitchum's co-star in Yakuza was Ken Takahura.

JohnL,

Thanks for the info. I appreciate it. However, my question was in regard to the stars of "36th Chamber of Shaolin" and "Enter the 36th Chamber." Also, I am not sure if the two are different movies or the same movie under different names in different markets.

Jackie Chan went to Northern China once to learn an ancient technique from some Monks. To learn this style he had to sign a contract that he himself would never portray it on film. So Jackie goes, learns, then teaches this style to several other Martial artists. Some of higher rank than himself. Then he goes on to direct this film, his first directed film ever, he does not star in it, but it was phenomenal. The film was The Thirty Six Crazy Fists.
