Had a talk with someone about Aiki dojo's and we both commented how they are better looking and kept somewhat different than traditional MA dojo's. Most of them still have the student clean the floors on thier hands and knees the old traditional way. I'm not saying that a better looking school will make you a better fighter or MA student is just I think thier nice looking, I love that old style japanese dojo look. Some of the dojo are stunning! Take a look....

I've never been inside a dojo besides aikido dojos, but I agree, they are nice and we have alot of pride in ours. Supposedly we have one of the larger Aikido dojo in the US, and though we don't clean the tatami on our hands and knees, we probably spend about a half hour after every class cleaning, and alas, next Saturday is spring cleaning at the dojo.
