Can anyone here explain the difference between:

O-goshi: Large Hip Throw on page 65 of Kodokan Judo by Jigoro Kano

Tsuri-goshi: Lifting Hip Throw on page 77?

Is this the same throw when done in the Kotsuri-goshi form?

Two seperate throws. The hand placement is different. O-goshi the hand placement is on Uke's back. In Tsuikomi-goshi the hand is on the label behind Uke's neck.

Hope this helps.

O goshi when used you throw uke over your back.the other even when used as switch (uke gets lifted up with a thrusting upward hip motion.and apply ukigoshi)

O goshi- major hip throw. You hold the uke with the arm hugging the small of his back, and lift with the legs. Tsuri goshi- lifting hip throw. like ogoshi, but more upper body strength is used by grabbing the belt, not just encircling with the arm.
With Ko Tsuri Goshi , you reach under the arm, just like ogoshi. O tsuri goshi you reach over the arm (or sometimes the shoulder) to grab the belt. More of a sambo-type throw, but it can really work well.
