So I'm riding my skateboard down the street, and a cop tells me I have to ride it on the sidewalk. I explain to him that it's illegal to ride a non-motorized wheeled vehicle on a sidewalk. He tells me I have to. Okaaaaay. So five minutes later another cop stops and tells me I can't ride my skateboard on the sidewalk, I have to ride it on the street. Next one pulls this garbage, I'm going to make him write me a ticket so his buddies can give him some crap at the station.
"Hey Larry, heard you got a skateboarder! Good bust, man!"

LOL. MY kind pays their salaries. My kind rides my skateboard to the bar so I won't drive home drunk. But I am an unwashed punk.

Skateboarding is dangerous. I have just proved this through the expedient of rendering both arms non-functional. I tried to drop in on an 8' ramp today. OUCH. My head and arms hit so hard that my helmet and pads were basically destroyed. My helmet is cracked, has a big flat spot on the back, and the plastic seperated from the foam. My right elbow pad split. My right palm is swollen to baseball size, and for some reason my right bicep hurts real bad. And my left elbow is just throbbing. If I wasn't wearing safety gear there is no doubt I'd be hospitalized right now. Remember: "When Street fighting, Street always win."

Still sounds like you should be hospitalized.

I might have, if I hadn't broken half of them doing hapkido. Hmmm, I wonder if I should pick up a less dangerous hobby, like train dodging or running with the bulls?
