If you ever wanted to impress someone or just finish a fight quick? Well here's what you do a karate strike to the side of the neck will knock someone out easily but you have to hit them hard or it might not work. Another is a palm strike to the forehead you must do this extremly hard for it to work. The last is a 2 hit knock out first you uppercut with your left then right after a right cross this will not always work so don't be dissapointed! Anyone have any questions or disagreements or etc... tell me!

Have you ever knocked someone out using a palm strike to the forehead? Or used any of these techniques? My advise is don't rely on them in a fight, you may be very dissapointed. There is a lot more to it than just a karate chop to the neck.

I dont rely on them in a fight and they work i have been taught them by someone who dimmasrates them and they do work.

That person did not inform you correctly. Plus things do not work because someone says so, they work because YOU can do them. Try these and see how they work.

If you hit someone over 40 as hard as you can you may not be very impressed when they dont recover ST9 lies over the vagus nerve and the carotid arteries I am not going to tell you the effect that the vagus nerve has but will tell you that the carotid sinus is a place where plaque builds up naturaly.So a good hard chop can cause some to break loose.this is a point not to be used in practice. who ever told you to hit hard has very little knowledge of presure points.

How exactly would hitting the side of the neck affect oxygenation?

Also how wuold stopping the blood from getting to the brain 'for a short period of time' cause death?

Though I have not tried the karate chop to the neck I honestly say that a palm strike to the forehead, unless you do it real hard... in the area of hard enough to knock someone out from pain alone if you hit them anywhere, which will probably kill them, will not knock them out unless you do it exactly right and in a actual fight it's hard to hit an exact spot on the forehead due to it's shape. Your chances of knocking them out with that are next to nil and I've tried using this several times... all it did was snap there neck back and disorient them for a second or two.

You are on the right track. take the time to learn some Gall Bladder points and the correct way to strike and you will get a greater effect.
However the people who train in pressure point strikes will consider your results as a correct result.disorienting and a neck snap is perfect Hit them now while they are dazed. we call this a knock out, after all they are out of the fight now finish them.
