Whay! hes back.

"Do you even KNOW who Willie "The Bam" Johnson is"?

Isn't he an ex-con?

Not that I'd be one to judge someone without having met them of course..........

So... Willie "The Bam" Johnson is a true Sensei.

Presumably that means that he is a good teacher producing good quality, mature, well mannered students.

Commoncents... are you one of his students?

Steve

Before coming here to post, I've heard a LOT of wild stories about this message board. That's why I decided to include you guys in my efforts to get the good word out on the definition of a true sensei, in order to clear the crap out of most people's eyes.

Yes, Willie is an EX con...and yet he's the most enlightened, understanding, & empathetic people I know. He didn't come from no shaolin temple. He came from the mean streets of New England, and yet he turned out just fine...even better. Now THAT is what TRUE sensei are made of!

And how do I know y'all are NOT as good sensei (character wise)?? Because of your replies to my post. A true Sensei of character would not have replied in such ways.

That just proves you all are very UN-awares!

There's a saying in Hip Hop culture that we use..."Bow down". It is an expression that means that "you ought to stop & recognize someone who is better, more righteous & accurate than you".

"Bow down". And that's EXACTLY what you all need to do. None of you compare to Willie!

Oh dear, he's back and as modest as ever.

Commoncents. Perhaps you would care to answer a few questions for me, just to clear a few things up. I'm clearly getting on a bit and perhaps my brain is starting to addle somewhat.
Who exactly are you to preach to anyone on this forum? You are not to my knowlege a respected figure in the martial arts and you have earned no respect on this forum, either through long participation or insightful commentary. I wouldn't take medical advice from a pre-schooler, why on earth would I take advice on my martial practice from you?
You strike me as another kid who has latched onto a hero figure in the martial arts as a role model. Converts are always the worst sort of fanatic. They feel the need to preach to everyone else and worst still, to make new converts. I'm genuinely pleased for you that you have found a sensei who you want to emulate. Good for you. Now please pipe down and let the rest of us get on with it without the "benefit" of your views on us the world or anything at all.

Hoping not to have this conversation twice

Mr V
