1st Question
I see time and time again movies where people pinch some adverseries shoulder and drop them unconscious - does it work? If so where is the exact point. It sounds like some sort of fairytale.
2nd Question
ST 9 is a point that may produce easy knockouts but are there any points that can be used with minimum effort to produce maximum results without too many risks.
My training was fairly clean cut - taking them out but we always used chokes ect. Can you help? Diagrams and links would be good.
It's just that a friend told me he knew a guy who knocked out a work collegue without striking or choking him - just pinching his shoulder or maybe the base of the neck. Thanks this would be really useful.

If you discover a point like what you discribe let me know. After studying dim mak and kyusho jitsu for many years i've yet to find and point that works solely on it's own with a mere pinch... Now mind you I do not doubt that it is possible to do such an application on someone. At the base of the neck lies the accessory nerve and this nerve can be used in both KO and revival applications. When I say that such an application can be used to cause a KO I do not think that it is "just a pinch", nor do I think that it would work on just anyone. Nerves attackes are generally more effective when the subject is tense (I'm going to get beat down for putting it that way.. but for lack of a better way of describing it at this point I'll go with it). "Tension" in this case would mean that the muscles in the neck would be flexed to some degree causing the nerve in question to be stretched and out of proper alginment. This causes the brain to already be on alert for stimuli from that nerve, hence... a quicker response. In addition, drugs, emotional states, etc.. could cause different reactions. The person who supposedly KOed his poor co-worker out may also have, unknowingly, increased the response through his action actions and mind. That isn't a topic I'm willing to get right now I'm afraid.
So to summarize and answer your question more clearly: Yes I think it may be possible under certain conditions caused directly or inderectly by one or both parties. And, No, I haven't seen it done or know exactly how to do it.
The again... some people KO people without touching... and believe me.. THAT IS NO JOKE!

I know of a shoulder technique (it's not really a pinch) that generally makes them fall to their knees. Not what you were talking of really, but it's almost there.

I am new to your forums (registered today) and have been looking through this area and noticed this topic...I know of one place that if pinched can render a man unconcious and if held long enough have much more serious effects...You squeeze the caorotid arterie, which is on the side of your neck, and about half way up, in about 3 seconds a man will go down, and 12 or more seconds serious brain damage can occur, or worse...my freind who is in the army taught me this. I do not recommend trying this on a freind or colleague, as it can cause serious effects, that permanantly affect a person. Seizures are also an affect of this, because it cuts off all blood to and from the brain. --Erik

Sorry I've been away from the forum for a while, life gets busy.
There is a point on the clavicle(collar bone) St-11 that when pressed in and down at will cause the person to drop like a stone. This only takes one or two fingers. You can acheive a KO by continuing to roll the mid-knuckles up into St-9,10. You can cap it off by allowing the back of the wrist to come up under the jaw and strike St-5. With three to four stomach points involved he's definately going down.

You're right. It is a fairytale.

Hmm. What do you want to know this stuff for? Trust me there are ways to knock someone out just by "massaging" certain vital points. Won't give details though. Go train and earn the knowledge. Train smart...

He probably wants to know this "stuff" to enhance his abilities. No harm there. As for it being a fairy-tale...no way. As for massaging certain vital points, sure but I don't think that your attacker wants a massage and the details are available to anyone who want to purchase any number of the books, videos, charts or seminars on the subject.

You could try massaging his chin with uppercuts.
