Guys I need illustrations and step by step instructions for weapons katas online. Does anyone have any good resources they can share? Thanks!
(I'm mostly looking for bo/jo, kama, sword stuff but anything will be much appreciated.)

Hi, in aikibudo there are at least two official weapon kata: tambo (short stick) and tanto (knife). But i don't know if it is online anywere.. I update my website very often: www.wado-ryu-karate.tk. I will add a video of the tanto no kata soon.

It's interesting that there really doesn't seem to be a great deal of weapons kata mpg's around.

These won't help you much, but old vidoe's of Isshinryu Karate's founder, Shimabuku Tatsuo, can be seen here showing him performing the Isshinryu weapons forms. They were done for technique demonstration and not at full power or speed.

I've put step by step instructions for some of our bo kata on my site, no pix or videos as yet, these will come when I have more time.
www.geocities.com/arthorses

Note: I assume good bo skills - these are not for beginners because I dont give instructions for basic stances and strikes. I trust you are training with a good instructor and not trying to learn bo off the net?

Good resource for the "Walking Cuts" kata of the Toyama Ryu sword.
www.mizukan.org

HUGE video section. Details some of the techniques of the weaponry used in this form of jujutsu (goshinjutsu)

Enjoy

Try www.shotokaionline.com. There are a lot of empty hand kata's but there are some Bo kata's on there. The site has photo's, which look fairly old, of all the kata movements.

try www.shotokaionline.com. There are some bo katas there with step-by-step photo's. The photo's are a bit old, but they are clear enough. However, having looked at the Matsukaze-no-kon kata, some of the sequence is in the wrong order. If you need them putting in the right order, let me know and I'll put it right for you.
