my karate vs. kickboxing

hey this is my first but i was wondering your opinion on what techniques would be most efficient against a generic kickboxer.i was just invited to go to the skf kickboxing tournament in vancouver but ive never had to deal with kickboxers before because i am in sorin-ji karate. so please if u have any suggestions then post them!

p.s this is a face contact tournament which means that their will be 50 % power to the head and no strikes below the waist!

tell me what kind of kickboxing and i might be able to help you a bit more, but i would stress to stay away from their knees or at least make sure they don't land them consecutively on you because you will drop if they do
