I have done TKD tournaments. Little contact and you get a point. 3 points you win.

I chose TKD, although I competed under ITF rules- hands to the head allowed, semi-contact(verging on full contact in competition) and points based.

I did a few open, point-style tourneys a while back.

traditional karate shiai. woot! limitations on exactly what you can throw and on the contact, but focus on todome waza and timing placement.

I've done mostly TKD tournaments (rules seem to be along the lines of Supremor's tournament) I've also competed in an eskrima tournament.
