She probably competed in the bb-in-less-than-6-months-mcdojo category.
Or else the news might be faulthy, but I favour the existance of that category, it'd explain a lot of headlines mcdojos put on the web.

Well, I suppose if I could take two bronze medals at the AAU National Competition with 2-3000ish competetors, with only 8 months of training, I don't see why she couldn't.

I mean, I'm sure it was pure talent and had nothing to do with the fact that there were only 3 people in my sparing division...

my friend does go kan ryu and entered that tournament..is it really that bad...i dont know if i have the heart to tell him..hehe

Not sure, but she might have been competing in the "valley girl cheerleading" division". All that requires is that she be pretty, and smile at the judges...

Losing to her must hurt if you know how long she's been doing it, though ive never seen that style, whats it about (its defining principles).

Guess shes just gonna have to learn that shes been wasting her time in 6 months, unless ofcourse she is that good

The defining principles of GKR are to take any students that after a few weeks training that can walk and spit at the same time, put them in a black and white belt, call them an instructor and put them out in front of a bunch of even less well trained people and wait for the money to roll in.
