controlling the mount?

My brothers and I have watch numerous MMA tapes and ofcoure, like amateurs we try the different techniques on each other. I notice the full mount is usually easy to obtain but hard to maintain.
I have been in several street fights (against my will) and it always end on the ground.

My question is how do you control the full mount position? What is the correct way to mount? and stay mounted?
