make sure you are grounded properly. Depends what you are doing, most of my experience with ki is while healing.

If I dont ground properly while healing with reiki I can feel pretty awful.

Drink plenty of water.

Relax it is just blood. Your hands may feel stiff, swollen, hot(alright minds back on topic), but it is still just blood gathering where your attention was focused.

I thought it was me being sarcastic. Kenpoman and Reiki gave reasonable responses.

May I suggest that two possible answers may be 1.) To use your mind to direct or lead it further beyond body/palms or 2.)To return the Qi back on the inhale to the Hara/Dan Tian as I have been instructed. (Re: Lesson from China in the energy section) Further advice from my Qi Instructor which followed my practice of that lesson. If you post there, he might answer your question.

Chi buildup can occur through and in between the hands, causing a bulge. I myself have experienced this. It's perfectly normal unless it is painful, in which case stop, or talk to a qualified instructor.

Bulging hands means your doing something right in the way of energy development.

Excuse me?
Just where was I being sarcastic?

What I gave you was the same advice I give to my Reiki students.

Ground properly before doing any energy work.

After working with ki always drink plenty of fresh water, this helps to complete grounding and will remove negative energy from the body.

I fail to see where this is being sarcastic...

I GUESS NONE OF YOU REALLY UNDERSTOOD MY MESSAGE. WADOWMAN WAS THE ONLY ONE BEING SARCASTIC. WHY WOULD YOU THINK SOMETHING LIKE THAT YOU ARE NEVER SARCASTIC REIKI. KENPOMAN WASN'T BEING SARCASTIC EITHER. JOHN I FORGOT ABOUT YOU. YOU WERE BEING SARCASTIC TO.
