meditation championship - 05/31/05 03:30 PM

Our meditation-club has decided to host a meditation-championship this summer, the rules are simple:
we'll monitor each contender with EEG and if brain activity exceeds a certain level, they will be warned.
On the third warning they're out, last man (or woman) sitting is the winner.
What's the use of meditating if I can't show that I'm better than you at it?

The ultimate prize being...nothing?

some other visionary ideas:

* For an interesting spin, hook the EEG output to the meditators genitalia.

* Meditation club vs. ADHD club full contact EEG SHOWDOWN!
description: both contenders are connected to one EEG in a tug-of-war of levels for a 5 minute period.

* Amature Street-meditator mpegs

-that must be what they call bio-feedback

Maybe I'm way to old-school. Does every modern Dojo have an EEG machine now??

Re: meditation championship - 06/01/05 03:11 PM

are you kidding, BuDoc? ALL of the (cool) dojos have standing MRI and CAT-scan that can feed to a server that renders and rasterizers the image into a 3-d wireframe model showing bone structure stress points and ideal motion overlays which is then displayed on the dojo's projected widescreen ...all in realtime. where have you BEEN man!? I hope you will have that in your new dojo...thats the second thing new students ask about. The first they ask is "have you got an EEG?". lol

I think the tuition price is going to go up.

Now I'll only be able to have students that have really good health insurance.

They obviously took up Kintama's suggestion about hooking it up to the genitalia and someone cocked-up.

Actually no, I didn't get your e-mail and I didn't win the contest (although I think I should have, considering how good I am)

No but ours has an EEK! machine. He is this big guy who punches you in the head really hard if you brake your meditative state

You saw the rules in the first post, didn't you?

Funning aside: yes, I read the first post...just curious if it actually went off the way planned...what level and type of brain activity of was recorded.

Thanks.

Funning aside?? Shouldn't we move to another thread then, or perhaps another forum altogether?

Just come out and say it Cord; you're the EEK! machine.

A good punch to the chin sure flattens an EEG, doesn't it?
