If you are under 18 ask your doctor, as it depends at what stage of your growth cycles you are in.

Its because the heavy weight can stress your body, so it wont grow correctly. Your suppose to do lots of light weights when youre young.

That is nothing but a myth. Some one who is 13 can start weight training. It will stunt your growth if you use imporper form. If you lift weights and use proper form you can actually increase height because when you lift weights you release hgh which will make you grow.
