What type of flexablility is best for grappling? - 03/17/07 05:05 PM

I have been reading alot on this forum about dynamic vs static flexability. I'm wandering which is best for grappling. I suffer from a lack of static flexability I believe. I want to be able to move my joints, particularly the hip joint through as broad a range of motion as I can while maintaining control of the limb. I believe, based on that statement, that static flexablility is what I'm looking for. Does anyone know good resource material for this type of stretching?
