actually after i posted this i went looking around the site cuz im new to dis and i found a way of stretching to kick higher but not need to warm up incase of immediate threat and its not a ballistic stretch so ill check it out
I would advise reading the books mentioned in this post so that you dont do something silly. I remember when I first started stretching I didnt really think about safety and just stretched kicking high trying to push myself and look what it did for me I pulled a muscle and ended up starting from scratch again. Yet after reading Tom Kurz's book I learnt from it and carried out a specific workout for kicking and there we are I can kick pretty well now if I may say so
