White Crane Silat? - 11/20/06 11:05 PM

Hi, has anyone have experience with this style of Silat? I been interested in getting into Silat, and found a school by me that teaches this style. How does it relate to other stles of Silat? Thanks.

It sounds like some new creation made up from other arts. I don't know though.

Does the place have a website?

There are literally hundreds of styles of Pencak Silat. Would be dubious of any that has an English name. The only styles I have come across have all reatained their Indo-Malay titles.

It probably WAS made up as many forms of silat appear to be.

There is a White Crane Silat class held at UH which is around the corner from my house. I have only watched one or two classes but i can safely say it does not resemble any other form of silat which i have studied (Mande Muda and Serak Silat). I don't know if this answers your question but hopefully it helps.
