Under military regulations there are only 3 times you should wear underwear under a kilt, I believe.

Marching in a band, Highland games and dancing.

Was that meant to be a mystery? It's never been one for me... At least not since some person I know got to sit on the row just below that of a group of Scottish supporters at a rugby game.

I'm trying to remember the details of this photo. Taken somewhere in a British outpost in Asia (was it Singapore?). Anyway, it's drafty there, and normally the detail does wear trunks, and I believe the guy was disciplined for it.

The guys I knew in the Black Watch performing group said that underwear is actually mandated for performances.

I actually admire the photographer; such good reflexes to capture it at just the right moment, must be a martial artist.

There is another photo somewhere of an officer revealing his crown jewels whilst sitting next to the Queen. Not one that could be posted on the forum.

Or as a friend of mine used to say, "There's nothing worn under my kilt, it's all in perfect working order."

Unlikely, as his left "cheek" is higher than his right.

Re: A great mystery solved - 04/20/08 02:41 PM

but the way the kilt is made might create a swirl and 'silk-reel' it th other direction.

Ah, those martial artists simply don't know when to stop discussing body mechanics...

How do you tell what clan a scotsman belongs to?

Look up his kilt- if he has a quarter pounder, he is a Mcdonald

Speaking of which... Isn't that the so-called "black watch" tartan this merry Scotsman is wearing?

Probably cos he's in the Regiment formerly known as the Black Watch.

Apparently this was in HK.
