I was able to figure out the QI meant Qualified Instructor, so I had an idea of it's use in context. But I didn't know the literal breakdown.

I don't know if There are many instances that are profane using the letter Q
why is that? are people racist against Q's?
sure they are made redundant by c and k (or KH)
but Q's are letters too!

My acronym generator's been broken down for a while, or I could have "reverse engineered" it to find out...

My theory is that if you're too lazy to type the words, you deserve to be misunderstood... that's true for a lot of "geek-speak". I deal with it at work from the IT and marketing departments all the time.

Funny story:
when our company reorganized and was bought out, the corporate wonks came in and were "developing a new strategy" for sales in our area. They came up with the acronym "KMA" for "key market area", and when they "announced" it in the employee meeting, it was a room full of "good ole boys from the South" who have an entirely different meaning for those three letters...

I was contracted on a event for The Nurses Association several years ago.

The attendees (mostly women) had to enter through this main door at the convention center.

The event planner put a huge banner over the entrance so people would know where to go, but to save money instead of printing the entire name she just put:
