It has been a while since I've heard these radio spots but I always enjoyed them everyday.
Let me set it up for you. The Champ is the undefeated Boxing Champion of the World, now in retirement after being in maybe one too many boxing matches. He continually misunderstands most comments made to him by people he encounters or the people he regularly hangs out with. The Champ is famous for popular catch phrases such as "I says pardon", "I loose it" and "I snap".
To get an idea of what he is about, listen to "Better Stand Up" and "Pocket Fisherman".
