Funny but true... - 11/08/06 11:37 PM

Just reminded of this tonight...

I drove past a McDonald's one night and the sign out from read: "NOW HIRING CLOSERS"

The only problem was that the "C" was missing.

your turn...

a friend at a company I consulted for a few years ago altered a sign in the office entrance to:

"Work-Free Drug Place" and it went unnoticed for a week. lol

My dad used to go to Mexico almost every day. He took some pictures of some signs that he saw. One was for an insurance company "We can handle all your clams". Another one was a food vender's sign "hamburger, hot dog tacos" MMMMMM

A trafic caution sign found at the beginning area of a stretch of road under repair says "No overtaking for the next 200 yrs"

For the benefit of Crablord, it should of course have said "....200 yds"

Theres a place in the UK called 'Cockermouth'.

There are too many bad translations here in China! These kind of things are daily occurances. The other day I saw a bin which has two sections (one for recycling and other just as rubbish) and the rubbish section it had a bad translation that said 'Do not Recycle'.
