The questions game - 04/16/06 04:04 PM

The rules are simple. You answer the Question given by the previous poster and then you present one of your own. The questions should be a choice between two things such as cats or dogs, it would then be answered dogs and another question such as pencils or pens would be added, here goes

Water or soda?
Posted by: BuDoc

Re: The questions game - 04/17/06 02:51 PM

Soda.I know, I know. But I am being perfectly honest. Dont get me wrong, I really do drink alot of water, and recognize that it is far better. But I really like Soda as well.So in this isolated instance, I'm gonna say soda because all other things being equal I really do prefer it more.

Gi or No gi??

Re: The questions game - 04/17/06 02:53 PM

No Gi. In class we train with the gi but after recently competing in a no gi tournament, I like the fast pace more ... though the gi does have some fun stuff too.

Ibuprofen or Acetaminophen?
Posted by: MattJ

Re: The questions game - 04/17/06 02:56 PM

No Gi by far. Don't get me wrong, Gi training is cool, but I like to train in what I usually wear to be be a bit more realistic.

911 or Corvette?

Re: The questions game - 04/17/06 02:56 PM

Acetaminophen. I'm morbidly allergic to Ibuprophen.

Win the lottery, or marry the (girl/boy/tree/rock) of your dreams?

Marry girl of dreams. Honestly. I know myself well enough to say that I will enjoy emotional richness more than items and fancy cars.

Since I'm already married to the girl of my dreams I choose the to win the lottery … that is of course if Jessica Alba is available.

Quote:

Quoted by ScottO:
iPod or Camera Phone?

As I own neither nor have a want this is hard. I-Pod I could listen to music anywhere but I do have stereo in my truck so I choose the Camera Phone. Then I can take pictures of idiots as they do things.

Quote:

Quoted by Budoc:
Wilma or Betty?

Betty of course. Nicer and easier to forgive. Plus Betty has eyes where Wilma had eyes of coal. Like looking into the firey pitts of hell.

Skipping or Running?

Re: The questions game - 04/17/06 04:16 PM

Running. No one over 6 should ever skip!

ZZ-

ScottO -

Neither. New legacy Focus speakers. Ipod? What's with kids today?!

Alright here's one for you guys...(maybe some girls, too...?)

Jessica Alba or Carmen Elektra?
Posted by: Dereck

Re: The questions game - 04/18/06 12:23 AM

BuDoc - Germaine or Tito (Jackson's not UFC fighters!)? – Tito … only because I had to chose one, really couldn't care a less.

Note: Like the 911 Turbo Page but I am a die hard Corvette fan. My theme basement (guy stuff) has the 911 plus Corvettes on the wall, not to mention plenty others.

Matt - Ketchup or hot sauce? – Hot sauce, I hate ketchup.

BuDoc - Olives or Pickles? – Hate olives so I’ll pick pickles, though I’m not a big fan either but good in grill cheese sandwiches.

Cord - Ice cream or Donuts? – Ice Cream … sign me up for an ice cream eating contest and you will have a clear winner … me; even being lactose intolerant.

Matt - Beach or mountains? – Uh … beaches? No really, love to look at the mountains but I’d rather crash on a beautiful beach like when I went to Cancun. White sand and girls wearing next to nothing. Can’t go wrong.

Karateka13 - Ruffles or Doritos? – If Ruffles are those little chocolate and coconut cookies then I’ll day Ruffles. I’m a sweat person not a salty or chip type of person … that would be my wife.

ScottO – Jessica Alba or Carmen Electra? – Did you not read above? Jessica Alba hands down. Looks innocent and hasn’t been around the block with everybody. Jessica is soooo beautiful … I am in love … she had me at Dark Angel.

ScottO - Midnight tomfoolery or Early morning hot bath-soothing? - Midnight tomfoolery ... especially with my wife when she's had some drinks.

Brian - Beef or Chicken? - Both good but a good steak does it everytime and who doesn't like a good burger? Beef baby.

Watching movies at home or at the theatre?

At home. There's nothing like the pause button when you have to pee.

Cable or satellite?
Posted by: Dereck

Re: The questions game - 04/18/06 01:31 AM

Cable.

I have had both at the same time and loved it though when that darn Niagra encryption came in then my satellite when down permanently. Will be getting digital cable shortly as it is a better quality HD signal then satellite, plus you can get movies and TV shows on demand that satellite doesn't have. Plus when it snows heavy or gets extremely windy then the signal doesn't waver.

Plus since I already have cable with the upper packages and have high speed internet with them, the digital cable addition is only $10 extra a month. I am just waiting for my bonus in June so I can get a HD PVR and then I will be fully hooked up.

Faith Hill or Carrie Underwood?
Posted by: MattJ

Re: The questions game - 04/18/06 07:45 AM

Dang. A lot to catch up on. Random answers -

* Doritos

* Pickles, although like Dereck, I don't really care for either

* Chicken

* Movies at home, just as Joel mentioned

* Satellite. Comcast can kiss my ass.

* Carrie Underwood. Bigger boobs.

* CARMEN ELECTRA BY FAR!!!!!!!!!!!

Manual or automatic?
Posted by: Dereck

Re: The questions game - 04/18/06 09:27 AM

Automatic

By this I believe you are talking about vehicles so like standard (manual) and automatic. Younger wanted manual and as I got older I wanted automatic. If I perhaps got a sports car like the Corvette or 911 Porshe Turbo ... then I'd want manual.

Fat guys drive Corvettes ... them is fighting words Page. Come on Matt, let's take this guy down.

Ginger or Mary-Ann? Ginger was hot while Mary-Ann was the innocent farm girl. Ginger has seen it all and probably done a lot of stuff but she is high maintenance. Mary-Ann would probably surprise you and would probably turn out to be the better bedroom companion. Mary-Ann.

C or D cup?

Re: The questions game - 04/19/06 01:50 AM

Can I have both?

Firm, perky "C" please. Nothing wrong with a "D" cup as I would be just as happy as it is the person it is attached to. Well maybe a "D" cup ... no "C" ... no "D" ... man I can't decide. Yup, I'll take both.

Burnette, Blonde or Redhead?

Depends on if you mean proper beer or the urine that passes for it in the states

Real english beer is fine at room temp. Lager needs to be ice cold, but I would still prefer a luke warm coors to a cold A$$ anyday.

Re: The questions game - 04/19/06 09:31 AM

Brian - Battlestar Galatica or Buck Rogers? - Battlestar Galactica for sure ... especially the newer series. That was an awesome series and can't wait for next season.

Just to point out, the good looking Grace Park (Sharon on new series), though born in Los Angeles as a young child she grew up in Vancouver, BC starting as a model. And the gorgeous Tricia Helfer (Cylon #6 on new series) was born in Canada right here in Alberta (Donalda) and was a Victoria Secret model.

Cord - Back to the Future or Teen Wolf? - You're kiddin' right? Back to the Future for sure with all of that Huey Lewis and the News music. And lest us not forget, Micheal J. Fox is a Canadian from right here in Edmonton, Alberta.

Johny Cash is okay but Neil Diamond rules. I am saddened Matt.

Land line or cell phone? (noticed I fixed that for you? )

I would have to pick cell phone, you can use it anywhere anytime. And I only answer it if I recognize the name or number ... though I rarely give my number out. (call me ... we'll talk. )

Just kiddin'. I suspect you are asking Ed but I'll answer. UFC ... just because it is more available to me. They have free shows on Spike, have the Ultimate Fighter Series and when you watch their show it is live. Pride I rarely catch anymore and they are always pre-recorded days ahead. James Bond Question: Sean Connery or Pierce Brosnan?

Page

Re: The questions game - 04/20/06 01:23 PM

Connery, though i did think Brosnan did a great job, its just that post cold war, Bond plots have been a lot weaker, so he hasnt had the material to work with. The two guys who have played the role closest to how Fleming wrote it (Lazenby and Dalton) are the two least popular with the fans- strange world we live in

Frazier or Friends?

Sean Connery because of his voice. Classic.

Indiana Jones or laura croft?
Posted by: Dereck

Re: The questions game - 04/21/06 10:45 AM

Indiana Jones. He was a more realistic character just trying to do his best with the same fears as everybody else. Laura Croft looks hot but she can do too many things and has no fear of anything. Now if you are asking who I'd like to be with, well then my answer would change.

Hulk Hogan or Mick Foley?

Re: The questions game - 04/21/06 12:47 PM

Hulk Hogan or Mick Foley?

It terms of wrestling I pick Hulk Hogan. If it wasn't for him I don't think wrestling would be as popular as it was. He involved the audience more and is a symbol and icon of wrestling. Mick has next to nothing for wrestling ability and his only claim to fame is how much punishment his body took. I read Mick's first book and enjoyed it. I think he is a genuine person and very likeable but in terms of wrestling he does have his place, but it is well after many greats such as Hulk Hogan.

I'm not really sure who these two gentleman are (Myagi or Oyama?), other then seeing there names a few times, so I will say Myagi because it sounds like the Karate Kid guy.

Brian for sure.
How can you not call that whole series boring? Only thing cool about it was the gremlin guy that said "precious". The first one was good, but the second one I literally fell asleep in the movie theatre during the whole tree/forest scene.

Re: The questions game - 04/21/06 05:35 PM

lord of the Rings, irrespective of your opinion on the content, was the single greatest film adaptation of a piece of literature ever made, and considering the scope, depth and intricacy of the source material, the trilogy is the most impressive piece of cinema that we will see in our lifetime.
I was raised on LOTR, my dad would read me a chapter or 2 per night from the age of 5 upwards (he must have read it to me 6 times as a kid), and from this I inherited his passion for Tolkeins world and the mythology that spawned it.
When the first movie was released, to say we were aprehensive would be an understatement, Dad was convinced that it would be a car crash of a movie, but we went anyway. I will never forget the look on my dads face when the lights came up, I can honestly say I have never seen him so happy- I have never seen a glimpse of how he must have been as a child at any point in the last 32 years, other than at the LOTR premiers at our cineplex.

I'm not thinking of the adornment or value aspect. It's more of a 'storing of one's essense.' I love the idea that it is something tangible to put in one's hand...to hold...to pass on to someone else. I have the ashes of a loved one in my home. The urn is okay...but you don't go around handling it, or sifting your fingers through the ashes. And I don't have the time to travel to visit with my buried relatives.

Sensei. My sensei in the BAMA is still one of, if not the most impressive MAists I have ever seen in person. He was a great teacher, and a nice guy. Its just a shame he had devoted himself to a style created by such a jerk-con man of a 'Grandmaster', making me have to part company with the style, and the teacher

Cheech because he did more and still acts. Chong you only see as the same druggy he was in all of those movies but now in That 70's Show ... he just can't do anything else.

Sly or Arnold?

Re: The questions game - 05/06/06 04:04 PM

Arnold for sci fi and comedy, Sly for modern world based action.

physique: Arnie hands down in his prime, now they are in their 50's Sly has maintained awsome condition, so have to say Sly at the moment.

ah shucks, i cant choose- they are both total heroes of mine, though from anecdotal evidence and interviews, I suspect Sly is a far nicer person- he seemed really cool and friendly on 'The Contender'.

its a draw for me, so I dont think I can ask the next question.

After that she bought me one from time to time and the are "all pink". I have quite the collection now.

Re: The questions game - 05/24/06 04:34 PM

Are you asking if one would pick a gun that shoots somebody or would they pick a cannoli which is a Italian dessert? If so then I will pick the cannoli. I have never had one and only have seen them on "Everybody Loves Raymond", which happens to be one of my favorite comedy shows; reruns of course. They look good and I love my dessert. The only guilty thing would be I would have to work it off, rather then wondering if I killed somebody. However defending ones self is much more difficult to do with a cannoli ... unless they like dessert more then stealing from you, hurting you, etc. It would have to be one heck of a cannoli.

200 years ago, providing you let me take my present day knowledge with me- kind of like a sentient retro re-incarnation deal. Then I will single handedly kickstart the industrial revolution, and invent all the clever stuff that has got us to the sorry greedy planet destroying state we are in now, but will of course be fantasticaly famous and wealthy MWAHAHAHA.

If i cant take my knowledge back with me, than future please, as by then natural resources will be burned dry, and society will have devolved into tribal settlements raiding and foraging for precious resources scavenged from the remnants of our once advanced civilisation. i will have the last of the V8 interceptors, and a mean ultra obedient dog.....oh hang on, getting confused- shouldnt have taken the wifes painkillers

Future.I Prefer the unknown, its more exciting.
