Kicking - 04/05/07 10:20 AM

hey guys I don`t have any experience when it comes to kicks. I trained some traditional karate and boxing but my legs aren`t that good. So i was thinking to start training my legs. Learn to throw proper knees and kicks to the legs. Kind of UFC type of fighting. Anybody knows good links that explain how to train kicks? I`m wondering which part of your knee do you kick when it comes to hitting the head and what part of your leg do you strike with when it comes to kicking your opponents sides of the legs.?

Are you training now? If you are trying to get into UFC style competition, you will need a coach. Videos and the internet ain't gonna cut it.

If you've done boxing, then your hands will be quite handy. Keep training them and don't bother learning to kick- kicking is a specialist discipline like anything else, and you NEED an instructor to learn to do it. If you have a training partner who can kick, then practice blocking kicks and catching kicks, that will be far more useful than learning to kick yourself.
