Capoeira; that was Taekwondo, don't you know anything?

We used to do this kick in Taekwondo; it is the home of fancy kicks. We called it a "cut kick".

Hey Dereck, when I first saw it, my first reaction was "TKD switch kick! Pretty cool!". It wasn't until he started doing all the round-offs and cart-wheels that I figured out that he was Capoeira, not TKD. :P

I have been on the receiving end of those kinds of kicks from people that were good with them - they are powerful if done right!

Yup, been there too. Guy kicked me in the face with one and put my tooth partially through my lip ... and knocked me back dazed a bit. Didn't blank out but probably the closest I've been.
