Thanks Matt, I enjoyed these. They can be slow at times but if you've been in these situations then you understand it where as a person who hasn't would figure it was boring.

I did not realize that you could pull the gi our from under their belt and pull it up around them to use. I knew you could pull from the front and use for chokes but that I did not know. I will however check when I compete on Saturday, June 24, 2006 because I'd hate to do something not allowed.

Yeah, the Demain Meia fight was very interesting. Lots of action, and interesting use of the gi for a choke! I didn't know you could do that, either.

The Marcelo fight was pretty boring. Perhaps that reflects a somewhat higher skill level? Ie; small positional adjustment could lead to an instant submission, so they choose not to move until they are dead certain they can do so without getting tapped.
