Anybody know anything about this school? NJ - 10/06/08 12:05 PM

Hey,

Does anyone have any experience with the Traditional Wing Chun Kung Fu Academy in Mt. Laurel, NJ? I'm a student at Rowan University looking for a traditional martial art. I'm going to try out a class soon but was just looking for any opinions. Here's their link: http://www.traditionalwingchun.com/

Thanks in advance.

The school is fine . It teaches William Cheung's version of wing chun. Don't buy into the propaganda and just take the good stuff keeping in mind there is some bad as well like anything else. Phil Redman ,one of the teachers, is a good guy and has over 30 years in wing chun. I don't know Keith Mazza. TWC is nothing more than wing chun based on the weapon techniques of regular Yip Man wing chun. This is a simplification but covers the basics.

Judging only by the web site, I see no reason not to say give it a try and see if it works for you.

I have some experience in WC, Leung Ting mostly and some others. I used to work out with a friend who trained in William Cheung's style and it's not bad.
